We are invested in ensuring that you receive the most up-to-date care for your lung condition. We also want our Prescribing Practices to follow initiatives that support Sustainability in Wales.

Where possible we will advise streamlining your inhaler prescription. This regime is known as ‘MART,’ using a single device for both maintenance of symptoms and relief of symptoms.

Getting use to the change
It can take time to get used to a new inhaler. Things to consider include:
Try to allow at least 8weeks to see how things settle.
If you do not think that the change has been right for you, please complete a medication review via econsult, or arrange an appointment with one of our Nurses to review your inhaler therapy.

Monitoring your symptoms with one of the NHS Wales apps is a really useful way to get to know your condition and your therapy.
Asthmahub and COPDhub app : an NHS Wales self-management App for adults with Asthma or COPD which is available on Google Play (Android) and the App Store (Apple).
The purpose of the App is to support the long-term management of people with Asthma or COPD to help you stay well. The App provides excellent quality advice, education and support.

You can recycle your used inhalers at any of the local pharmacies.
All patients diagnosed with airways disease are invited by text for a review the month of their birthday, please make sure you update us with changes to your contact details to ensure we have your current mobile number.
